Lawyers, psychologists, and human rights workers who embrace the principle that violence requires a collaborative method which brings together disciplines of law, psychology and social sciences under the umbrella of human ethics, thus creating an effective form of support.
A dedicated group which offers a different form of professionalism so as to allow the person to come to a full understanding of their own choices.
An association, which through its methodology - the Francesca Method - strives to provide the Person with an integrated approach resulting in the best service possible.
Professionals who believe in a more humanistic approach, one which keeps the needs of the Person at the forefront.
The Francesca Centre was born from a simple but undeniable fact: the traditional forms of support of the person are no longer sufficient. Our contemporary society needs the integration between the disciplines of law and psychology to provide an effective way to reduce violence and social injustice. The states of anxiety and fear that accompany those subjected to violence, coupled with the excessive length of proceedings in the overworked courts can limit a Person’s ability to regain their freedom and self-worth. The Francesca Centre aspires to provide that missing support. This is accomplished in a collaborative spirit by a team of professionals who address both the legal and psychological aspects, placing the Person at the forefront.
The Francesca Method addresses the challenge of social injustice and violence through integration of multiple disciplines: legal professionals, psychologists, human rights workers and others. This synergy increases the chances for the best outcomes for each person in need. The Centre fosters the professionals’ critical faculties and develops a cohesive social conscience.

OUR HELPPOINT PROVIDES INITIAL SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE IN NEED
The HelpPoint offers initial information, guidance and support. The meeting is meant to create a dialogue (Cor ad cor loquitur) that allows the person to better understand the problems concerning their position and to identify viable alternatives. HelpPoint activity is essential for those who work within the Francesca Centre: it increases awareness of the spectrum of social injustice and violence and lays the foundation for sharing a renewed social conscience between professionals and people who are experiencing injustice in their lives.
Despite laws and international conventions meant to safeguard individual rights and protections, violence in all of its forms still persists in our society.
The collaborative work of the Francesca Centre expands the resources available to a Person subjected to violence to regain their individual worth and achieve their freedom. One resource is the Francesca Centre Conversations. Eliminating violence requires both inner and outer examination of humanistic principles that hold all people and nature in respect. To nurture this critical spirit, the Francesca Centre holds monthly Conversations in Teatro San Salvatore, which are interdisciplinary interviews followed by an extended conversation open for all to contribute. Listening, reflection and discernment, and the desire to know one’s self, encourage us to consider new perspectives, leading to action that fulfills our responsibilities to each other, to the world around us, and to Truth.

A Value is...
what makes life worth living. Cultivating Human Values - Truth, Righteous Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence - in children and young people, who are the future, means laying the foundations for a new humanity, in its various aspects: physical, intellectual, emotional, mental and spiritual. Cultivating responsibility - accountability to oneself and consequently to others - with joy.

Mindfulness is ...
"The awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally to the unfolding of experience moment by moment"
- Jon Kabat Zinn
